The Singing Fountain in The Royal Garden of The Prague castle

This work follows three main questions, which will allow a deeper appreciation of art historical monument. At first, there is a concise story of rulers, which donated fountain. In the next part, the work gives ideas of the original context of the installation of the bronze fountain in the architecture of the Royal Garden at the Prague Castle in the third quarter of the 16th century. The artistic description with historical sources presents the monument as the result of the work of artists associated around the royal gunsmith Tomas Jaros of Brno. In the closing section attempts to draw attention to the potential non-European cultural influence in the creation of artwork. Compared fanciful figures on the fountain with bells of the late 16th century, attempts to document the gradual domestication of a particular theme used on the Habsburg court before the arrival of Rudolf II. Secondary question will present conservation of the artwork.
The using of gardens of Prague Castle in teaching of biology at elementary school

This diplomat thesis is focusing on use of Garden of Prague castle and the possibilities of their use in the teaching of Science at secondary school within the organizational form of the excursion. The teoretical part is devoted to the description and characteristics of the Gardens of Prague castle. The diploma thesis is mainly focused on the Royal Garden. The reason is practical usability this garden and also limited access to other gardens of Prague castle at the time of processing this diploma thesis. The these sis mainly focused on the Royal Garden. The diploma thesis summarizes the basic informational about the excursion as an organizational form of education. The aim of practical part was the first to find out the attitude of secondary schools (focusing on the Central Bohemian and Prague regions) to excursions to Prague castle and this education method. It was found that most teachers of science organize excursions, but the Gardens of Prague castle are seldom their aim. On the basic of elaboration of previous aims, didactic materials were prepared for the realization of the excursion in the area of Prague Castle, the most comprehensive part consist of a set of ten worksheets. The architectural and historical development of the Royal Summer Palace at the Prague Castle
